Ooh lala Moulin Rouge

Hi everyone,

Happy Monday! I'm going to Paris within a few weeks and I'm definitely in Paris mode. All I can think of is Paris, Paris and also Paris. While planning my trip I got inspired by the Moulin Rouge. I think it's a beautiful place. And I thought it really fits for this weeks challenge "Hey girl" over at Simon Says Stamp and Show!

I had some scrap metallic gift wrapping laying around that I just wanted to use for this project. I've made a big mess by coloring it with jet black Archival ink. By accident I discovered that while the ink is still wet you can easily make cool patterns with you fingernails, or maybe something with a sharp point. You need to heat set it or, leave it to dry for a minute. Odd that it isn't black but more anthracite. But I'm happy with the anthracite color. The metalic wrap stays a bit sticky, so you may want to seal it. I had so much fun dressing up Tim Holtz' dress form Moulin Rouge style!

To give the background a deep rich color I've used two kinds of red Barn Door and Fired Brick Distress ink and to finish the edges I've used Black Soot Distress ink.

To join in this week all you need to do is make a project that fits the challenge and you can be the winner of the $50 gift voucher that our amazing sponsor Simon Says Stamp offers this week. This prize will go to a random entry. So go over to the Stamp and Show Challenge blog, let the DT members inspire you and join in the fun!

Thank you for stopping by! Love to see you next time!

Hugs,
Sandra
