When I think of a journay I think of travel. When I go on vacation, I usually do a citytrip. This year I'm going to Barcelona! I think it's a very beautiful city and can't wait to go. For the base of my tag I used Teresa Collins Far Away paper. This paper is very thick and heavyweight paper, perfect to make a tag out of. The colors are neutral and have just applied some more color with Peacock Feathers and Crushed Olive Distress Ink.
I've made the edges darker with Walnut Stain. The travel tag is also cut out of the Far Away paper collection. 'Destination' is a rub on from Tim Holtz, which fits perfectly on the tag.
The hearts and stars are die cut out of adhesive cork with the exclusive Simon Says Stamp Holiday Shapes die. I thought that the cork would fall apart with the littlest shapes, but it seems that the adhesive backing holds them together.

ReplyDeleteYour combination of textures and colors on this are INCREDIBLE! I just adore how this tag turned out and I loved your write-up, too. I think far too many people don't appreciate what's in their own backyard (myself included), so I really liked the concept of vacationing in your own city! It's good to become a tourist in your own town so that you appreciate your environment. Thanks for reminding me of that lesson. Of course, taking a trip to BARCELONA also sounds amazing!!! Can't wait to see the inspiration you pick up there!
