Timeless Treasure art journal spread with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Anything but a card".

This time no card but an art journal spread. I don't use my art journal enough, and this challenge was a good time to do a page again. I started to cut up the Botanical Collage Paper and cut it into loose pieces and collage them together again on the page. I did this with Collage Multi Medium I mixed with water.

Then I applied a layer of Gesso to tone down the busy print a bit. To make it more of a whole I stamped with different background stamps. Then I applied color with Distress Oxide. Because the background is botanical, I'm leaning towards the blue and green tones more. It's bit of a habit of me :). I applied some texture with the Old School Alpha stencil and Texture Paste.

Unfortunately, something went wrong with my phone during the next section (I record the videos with my phone). With Infusions I've made the colors more intense and richer. I applied some more contrast along the washi tape and two of the corners with Distress Crayon and along the Paper Doll I worked with an Water Color pencil and a Water Brush. Because there is Gesso underneath it works very nice with water drops, they really give you a great ghosting effect.

There are definitely numerous details like that to take into consideration. That is a great level to carry up. I provide the thoughts above as basic inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up where an important factor might be working in honest good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged around things like that, but I'm sure that your job is clearly recognized as a good game.
