Princess of Power card with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Bright and Cheerful Colours".

For this card I was inspired by the 80s animated series from She-Ra: Princess of Power. I loved this show as a little girl and was also very colorful. The lady from the Fairy Garden mould reminded me of it and also the wings of the Wings and Cogs mould. These were from the horse which turned into a unicorn. I started to apply texture with the Swirly Floral stencil and Texture Paste. While that was drying, I applied the resin elements with a layer of white gesso.

I gave the background some color with Opal Magic paints. This was still too soft. But first I adhered the resin elements with Heavy Body Gel, and with Soft Matte Gel the smaller elements such as Art Pebbles, Art Stones and Droplets. I hadn't adhered the lady yet. I wanted her to stay the way she was now and not get pigments on her. After everything was secure enough, it was time for the bright colors. I used a lot of Nuvo Shimmer Powders to create a kind of rainbow effect. The Lunch Box Notes 2 stamp is from the new Simon Says Stamp release Believe In You.
