Hi everyone,
Tomorrow is Halloween and I haven't done as much Halloween projects as I would have liked. Where does the time go? Tim has put us to work for 12 tags of 2013 for October and it's a Halloween tag! Yes!
My tag is slightly darker-than actually was intended. But I like it better this way. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I don't seem to get the glitter to stick properly. Next time I'll use more glossy accents, maybe that's the trick. Almost no glitter stayes on when coloring it wiht Distress Ink. Although I do love the worn look of it!
Happy Halloween!
Thank you for stopping by! Love to see you next time!
Hugs,
Sandra

Mini album
Hi everyone,
Today, it's time for another Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. This week there are no rules! It's an anything goes challenge. Anything goes and anything is possible. Get your creative juices flowing and join in the fun with us!
My project this week is a mini album I made from my last trip to London. The reason why
I made it a mini is because, a while back I bought a sweet little mobile printer, the LG Pocket Photo. A good time to use it. The printer is compatible with a smartphone and can easily taken along on vacation to immediately print the captured images made with your smartphone.
You probably already know that I always like to make my own albums and this one is also made by me. I have used a Ring Binder mechanism. The We R Memory Keepers Covers are cut to the size that fits the sheets of the 6x6 inch Memorabilia Paper Pad from Teresa Collins. I'm so in love with this beautiful paper line.
It's a lot of work to fill up a whole album, each page is actually a project on its own. Well this album has 36 of them... The embellish the pages I used the matching Memorabilia Border Strips and Brads along with lots of other pretty stuff.
To join in all you need to do is make a project that fits this weeks challenge and you can be the winner of the $50 gift voucher that our amazing sponsor Simon Says Stamp offers. This prize will go to a random entry. So go over to the Stamp and Show Monday Challenge blog, let the DT members inspire you and join in the fun!
Thank you for stopping by! Love to see you next time!
Hugs,
Sandra

Andy Skinner Gelli Plate workshop
Hi everyone,
Yesterday I had the best time at the Craftorij where Andy Skinner was teaching a few classes the last couple of days. Paula and I did the Gelli Plate workshop. It was quite the journey for me to get there, but it totally was worth it. We learned different techniques using the Gelli Plate.
We both were so busy that we forgot to take some pictures during the workshop. But here are the pictures of the samples we made using the techniques.
This one is made with transparency sheet.
Using lots of different colors and many textures
The bottom one is made with clear packaging tape
Audrey Hepburn was traced with carbon paper and painted in by hand :).
Thank you for stopping by! Love to see you next time!

Nautical colored card
Hi everyone,
It's time for a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about Nautical Nonsense. From the sea and the beach to mermaids and pirates. And everything in between. Can't wait to see your projects.
This card I made for my best (guy) friend's girlfriend. Ohh what an great age, 26! Wish I was still 26..., but anyway back to business. This week I was especially inspired by the nautical colors. Navy blue, red and white. But also wanted to give it a little bit of a sea theme. The Grungy Silhouette of Dina Wakley with the big bubble around the head is perfect for that. The wooden Burnished Circles by Studio Calico are so pretty, love the dark kind and the anchor one goes with the theme very well.
For this card I did some techniques I normally do in my artjournal. As as stamping with stencils and stamping with paint. Especially stamping with paint is a favorite of mine. I say this every time, but I'm so glad I've learned this technique. I took me a while... It gives such a nice effect.
Cork is hot right now, and these corks Arrows stickers from Studio Calico are stunning. They are very delicate, so when applying them be careful.

CC102 - Day 5
Hi everyone,
Can't believe it's the last day of Creative Chemistry 102 already! This day is also full of incredible techniques! Unfortunately I couldn't get my hands on the Metal Leafing and the Antiquities Frosted Crystal Embossing Powder. I'm not worried about getting the Frosted Crystal, but I have no idea where to get the Metal Leafing in Netherlands. So today unfortunately two techniques less. As soon as I can get the supplies I will still give these techniques a try.
I hope so that there will be another sequel, Creative Chemistry 103! It's so educational and I think it's a perfect method of learning. At your own pace and Tim is very flexible in his videos. He waits patiently for you if you just put him on pause and he will explain you how to do it over and over again without a doubt, he is always there at every hour of the day, when you need him to. Thanks Tim!
Rusting Technique
Sticky Powder Glitter Technique
Shabby Chic Technique
Tarnished Silver Technique

Faux Patina Technique
Tinted Tinsel Technique
Ombre Technique
Monoprint Technique
Faded Layers Technique
Can't wait for class tomorrow! Thank you for stopping by! See you tomorrow for day 5!
