It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Grunge it up".
Grunge is actually my favorite style. And then I mean the really "classic" grunge style, as I like to call it. With a lot of brown, and a bit of green with blue. But also with the gears and the rusty elements. It has been a while since I made such a grungy project and I was very happy to completely go wild with this theme and enjoy myself for this card. It's one of my new favorites, perhaps my new favorite in general...
I started with Distress Oxide and added in Infusions right away. This gives it just another effect, especially because of the concentration of the pigment and the walnut crystals that dissolve later on and that makes it even more grungy. Seth Apter makes very nice grungy stamps and dies, so I used two of them, the Citrus Slice and Drip Drop. I applied Distress Grit-Paste and painted them black. Next, I gave it a look that resembles decayed metal using Nuvo Mousse and Metallique Wax. The gears of the Gearhead dies set got some Texture Paste applied onto them, which gives a more subtle texture, and then I also edited them with both Nuvo Mousse and Metallique Wax.
