Taking notes

Hi everyone,

A new Monday means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. This week there are no rules. It's an Anything goes challenge! Please join us!

If you know me a little bit, I'm the person who writes everything on little notes. That causes that I often loose or misplace them. Now I needed a place to write down my groceries, so I know what to buy when things I'm almost out of it. A perfect time to make me one. As covers I used canvas boards. I covered them with a layer of Gesso. I think the exclusive Simon Says Stamp Sketched Alphabet Stamp set is really gorgeous. And to get a crisp image on an uneven surface, I have stamped the letters one by one on tissue paper. I cut them out seperately and adhered them with Multi Mediaum Matte.

With the Cork Sheets I've made this cork heart. The cork combined with the exclusive Simon Says Stamp Large Heats Die and exclusive Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stripe Stencil makes such a fun embellishment.

The tabs I made by covering a piece of cardboard with washi tape, fold it and cut it out with the My Favorite Thing Tabs. Note that you place the folded edge just below the top cutting edge of the die. This way you get a folded tab instead of a single tab.

The inside I made in Abobe Illustrator and printed it on plain printer paper. To give it a little color, I've applied Picked Raspberry Distress Ink with the exclusive Simon Says Stamp Diamond Circles Stencil.

12 tags of 2014 - March

Hi everyone,

Why do I always wait until the end of the month to make time for the amazing 12 tags in 2014? Oh well, as long as I finish before the deadline, I'm okay with it! And the tag for March is so beautiful! This technique we also done in CC102 and it's such a cool technique!

Unfortunately I don't have the stamp set that Tim used. I used the Seamless Experience set instead. I think the stamps combo with a solid one are so cool, but there aren't much of those combo's. So I have made a stencil by stamping on a piece of cardboard and cut it out with a small edge around it. This way, you can make a solid background for each stamp.

I was overly excited with applying the color and is therefore way too dark. Next time I'm keeping in mind the use lighter background colors, because the text is almost unreadable.

Thank you for stopping by! Love to see you next time!

Transparency

Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. The theme of this week comes from Anna- Karin and it's "Transparency". What comes to mind when you think of transparancy?

For my project I used only transparent or semi-transparent products. For the background I started with making a pattern from different washi tape. It was a little too bright for me, and I wanted to tone it down and bring it more into the background. So I watered some Gesso and applied a layer of it over the whole page.

I hadn't more in mind other than transparent when I started. During my quest to find transparent things, I came across the Scripty Word "Love". I love rub ons and when I was browsing through them I saw the Jar from Jenni Bowlin. Despite Valentine day has passed a while ago, I found "Love Potion" a fun theme anyway.

The Retro Circles are fabulous and so versatile! I have used the XOXO Doodle Stamper once again. The ink of those stampers takes a long time to dry, so that's why I don't used them that often.

The sentiment is stamped on tissue paper, so I can put it where I want it very easily. I cut it in half and collaged it where I wanted it. The rays around the jar I made with Iced Spruce Distress Ink and the Rays Stencil.

Feeling lucky

Hi everyone,

A new Monday means a new challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog! This time it's all about luck or not so much luck... Today is St. Patrick's Day and what a wonderful day to celebrate being lucky.

It may sound cheesy, but it's true. I'm very happy with the life I'm leading now and everything I've going on. But I'm not so lucky in winning games. Maybe St. Paticks Day will be my lucky day!

The background is made with Pumice Stone Distress Stain. To give it some more color and dimension I have worked with the Cargo and Clockwork Stencils from Tim Holtz.

The bingo card is from the Playful Journey stamp set and I stamped it with Archival Jet Black on a piece of Manila cardstock. The edges are distressed with Wallnut Stain Distress Ink. The Clipboard parts are cut out of black cardstock. To give it more of a metallic look I used some Pearl Paint Dabber over it.

Yes, this tag needs some washi tape too, Pebbles and Calkwalk Numbers. With on top of it some Sprocket and Mini Gears.

Distressed little album

Hi everyone,

It's a new Monday and like every Monday, Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge has a new one for us. To Distress is the theme of this week. From inking the edges brown to Tim Holtz products. What are you going to distress this week?

I love the Tim Holtz Distress products and his o so grungy style, but this time I was in a different distress mood. I've made a mini out of corrugated cardboard and have given it a distress look. This album was made for the time I've been to the Castle Gardens in Arcen and I wanted a botanical kind of style to it and have therefore used lots of color.

The paper line is from the Zepher collection from Prima Marketing. It's so colorful and cheerful. And perfect for my botanical theme of the album. I still had a some scraps from a different album that I made. It litterly did some scrapbooking. Love to use up scraps!

For embellishments I used some Zepher Chipboard Pieces alond with the Cork Arrows and Atlantic Stickers. Well you know me, it isn't finished without some washitape on it!The photos are 2 by 3 inches and I printed them with my little LG Pocket Photo Printer. Such a fun device and very convenient to fill up mini albums.
