Hi everyone,
Today just a quick post with a card that I made with the Simon Says Stamp February Card Kit. It was a whole adventure and long journey before I got it yesterday. But just in time to make a card with it on the last day of February.
I went for a kraft look with touches of black and white. Love the look of VersaMark Ink on kraft cardstock. I'm a tea person, so I chose for the tea version for this card.

The Secret Garden tag with video tutorial
Hi everyone,
It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Based on a Book".
The book that since my childhood is my favorite, is the secret garden. I remember when I went to buy it with my mom in a special shop in the city next to our small town. I've read the book countless times and that really shows. I still have the book and will cherish it forever along with the beautiful memories.
It was time for a tag, I've used the new Distress Mixed Media tag (Thanks Anita!). With different colors of washi tape (Thanks Anita!) I've made the base of my background. With on top a layer of Opal Magic Blue-Gold paint. When that was dry I grabbed some of the Infusions, Emerald Isle for the color of the plants and A Bit Jaded the color of the sky.
I've colored the Bird Branch die cut (Thanks, Cathie!) with different colors of Distress Inks and with Distress Crayon I gave it a little more dimension. The Garden Greens (Thanks, Cathie!) are colored with different sprays, a homemade one made with Peeled Paint Reinker and Sour Apple Perfect Pearls and Dylusions Cut Grass. But before I sprayed them the flowers were first painted with Opal Magic Blue-Gold paint to resist the spray.

Safe Travels card with video tutorial
Hi everyone,
It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Transport it".
This card I made for a friend to wish safe travels. I remembered the Just Landed stamp set of Kaisercraft. What a fun set and perfect for this challenge. I started with texture paste and the Swiss Dots stencil. When it was dry, I applied a layer of Opal Magic Blue-Gold paint. Then with Mod Podge which is diluted with water and Infusions A Bit Jaded I have given the background this lovely color. It's one of my favorite colors.
Using the MISTI I stamped the Just Landed stamps with the Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink. A few of the stamps I stamped on Vellum with Versamark ink and I melted the Black Embossing Powder with my heat tool. The edges needed a little something and with a black watercolor pencil and a water brush I darkened them.

Make a Wish card with video tutorial
Hi everyone,
It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Use Your Favorite Tool". What's yours?
I just couldn't choose only one favorite tool. That is why I used my top 3 of favorites tools to make this card. The Vagabond, the MISTI and a heat tool. First I've embossed the background with the Simon Says Stamp Large Morrocan stencil. With Opal Magic Rose Gold paint and Dylusions Paint Lemon Zest I've made the first layers of color.
I'm still in love with the Infusions and this time I've only used Golden Sands. The embossing was a bit faded into the colors, and by putting Distress Crayon with my fingers in some places the embossing became more visible again.

Young at Heart card with video tutorial
Hi everyone,
It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Young at Heart".
I've not necessarily made a Valentine's day card. It can also be used as a birthday card or an anniversary. Because we are showcasing Simon Says Stamp exclusive products this week, I used the Drawn Hearts stencil and the Best Day Ever die from the Hey Love collection. With the Drawn Hearts stencil and Texture Paste I made a first layer. When it was dry, I placed on the top and bottom edges some Grit-Paste.
After that was completely dry, I got it all covered with Opal Magic Rose Gold paint. This time I first applied a layer of Mod Podge, which is mixed with water before I added the Infusions. I used Are You Cerise, Sunset Beach and Black Knight. The Stitched Oval cutting template I also gave a coat of Opal Magic Rose Gold paint. Then I used the Best Day Ever die, which I doodled a bit on the make it stand out even more.
