Up in The Air Mail card

Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Up in the Air".

I was inspired by the airmail stamp and stencil set from Tim Holtz. I started with the stamp set and with Distress Oxide Fired Brick and Faded Jeans, and Archival Ink Jet Black. With the stencil I applied the stars with Texture Paste for some texture.

 

After the Texture Paste had dried I used Distress Spray Stain Fired Brick with Infusions Frankly Scarlet and noticed that the Distress Oxide reacted… Makes sense… So I used MicroGlaze where I stamped with Oxide. And then I used Distress Spray Stain Faded with In the Navy Infusions over it, and that worked a lot better.

Deep Navy Textured card

Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Add Some Texture".

I love adding texture to my projects. First I started with a layer of different Washi Tapes. To tone it down a bit, I used White Gesso. Once that was dry, it was time for Texture Paste with the Halftone stencil.

 

For color I used Infusions In The Navy and Metallic Paint Stormy Ocean. Those two give such a cool deep navy color with an fabulous shimmer. For the sentiment I used the Small Talk Stickers and added shade to it with Distress Crayon Black Soot and a water brush.
