Foil Resist It card with video tutorial

Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Resist It".

There are different resist techniques, and now that I've got Toner Ink, that is my favorite resist technique at the moment. I started with the Renaissance stamp set, which I've had for a while but never used. I applied the Toner Ink with a  mini brayer. And I ran this through the Minc and the strange thing was that where the Toner Ink was darker, it the foil didn't adhere to it as where it was more transparent. But love the effect very much.

 

Then I gave the background some color with Distress Ink Worn Lipstick, Tattered Rose and Distress Oxide Worn Lipstick. Of course I would have preferred to do that with the new Distress Kitsch Flamingo, but I don't have it. I did the edges with Distress Ink Black Soot, and some spots weren't completely dry so those became darker and I actually thought that was perfect.

Love is in the Air card with video tutorial

Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Love/Hearts".

 As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Carabelle Studio. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

Valentine's Day is in less than two weeks away, so time for some love... I started with Typeset Collage Paper and Soft Matte Gel to apply the first layer, and washi tape of course;). To add texture I used Around The World Stencil from Carabelle with Distress Crackle Texture Paste.

 

After the Texture Paste was dry, it was time for some color. I've used all kinds of pinks in different mediums: Liquid Acrylics Magenta, Distress Paint Spun Sugar, Infusions Are You Cherise, and Nuvo Shimmer Powder Cherry Bomb.
