Santa Christmas card

Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Santa".

As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Tim Holtz! You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

For this card I used the smallest Santa Claus stamp I had. But first I started with the background using Distress Oxide Spray Speckled Egg and Hickory Smoke. Together with my own mix of Distress Spray Stain Speckled Egg and Perfect Pearls Pewter.

 

I added some texture with the Snowflake stencil and Texture Paste. Once the Texture Paste was dry, I used my own spray mix over the snowflakes. That caused the snowflakes to recede more into the background. I colored the little Santa Claus stamp with Distress Oxide Spray Speckled Egg and Hickory Smoke.

Sparkle Christmas card with video tutorial

Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Sparkle Mode".

This week the 40th anniversary of Stampendous is what it's all about. Unfortunately my order with the Stampendous products did not arrive on time. But that's why I boosted the Sparkle Mode to make up for it.

First I started with the background and made my own shimmer spray with Distress Spray Stain Speckled Egg and Perfect Pearls Pewter. I used this together with Distress Oxide Spray Speckled Egg and Sparks Mermaid Sparkle.

 

To add even more sparkle I used the Sparkle stencil with Fallen Snow Glitter Glaze. This is a white paste with glitter, but it dries clear. I colored the Treeline die with Distress Oxide Bundled Sage, Peeled Paint and Distress Spray Stain Speckled Egg.
