Coffee Time card

Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "FOOD and/or DRINK".



The style of the Oddball stamps are so much fun! Have made it a tradition that when we have a Food/Drink challenge I buy a new Oddball stamp for it. This time I choose Oddball With a Coffee, how amazing is she! My coloring skills aren't great, but that doesn't stop me from having fun coloring anyway. And to make it a little easier on myself, I used Black Embossing Powder, which helps to stay within the lines better. I've used a lot of different colors of Distress Oxide Ink to color it in.

 

After I finished coloring, I protected it with MicroGlaze. I applied the MicroGlaze with a cotton swab and my fingers. And wiped it with a tissue. Then applied color with Distress Spray Stain Speckled Egg and Pumice Stone.

Just Dreamy Hearts card

Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Love Is In The Air".

As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some of our very own Simon Says Stamp Exclusives. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.


It's almost Valentine's Day, and of course we can't pass up that theme. I made a card with soft pink tones. I used Opal Magic Paint Rose Gold, Metallique Paint Spring Blossom and Infusions Frankly Scarlet with lots of water. Before I applied the colors I first stamped randomly with the Faded Type stamp.

 

Then I applied some texture with the Simon Says Stamp Drawn Hearts stencil and Texture Paste. After the Texture Paste was dry, I applied a coat of Clear Gesso, so that I have a base to blend the paint and infusions together.
