Wishing you a Merry Christmas!

Hi everyone,

It's almost Christmas! The time really flown by! Can't believe that this year almost has come to an end! But we aren't there yet. It's too early to look back and reflect. This week there is no Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, but the DT still made beautiful projects to share with you during these holidays. The team is split up in two groups this week. Thursday the other half will show you their projects, so don't forget to check in with the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog then.

The first half of the group was asked to use Tim's Christmas stamps. What a fun and fitting challenge! As you may have noticed, I'm very happy with my Gelli Plate and I wanted to use them for my Christmas cards this year. I chose red and black as my color theme. As always I used only one color in just one layer on the Gelli Plate and then finish it with other techniques. I had to make 38 cards this year and I wanted to make them all different but in the same style. Although it was a lot of work, and a bit of a challenge, I've had so much fun making them.

The trick to making a good print with the Gello Plate is the amount of paint you apply. With a thin layer you quickly get much paint off the Gelli Plate and you're left with a print with very little paint on it. When you use too much paint, you will hardly see the print and you will have a thick layer of paint on your printed surface. After a little bit of practice, you'll know what the best amount of paint is for your liking.

Had to come and leave a comment. Love your colour scheme. Wow on the sheer number of cards you made here. I think they are fantastic. I still don't totally understand gelli plates, never having used one but your cards are just fab. Got any spare? You may inspire me to try gelli art. Thanks for sharing and have a fabulous Christmas and New Year
