Grunge Shaker Invitation with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/

Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Hope you've had a wonderful Christmas and wishing you all a fabulous new year. This week the challenge is: "Something New". We are using Tim Holtz Products for our projects, but you don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge, but if you have them we would love to see them used.

A new year has begun and I'm almost a year older. And that is cause for a celebration. Time for making the invitations. It's always fun to try new things, new techniques, new products, new ideas. With the beginning of the new year, a perfect time to start. It's the first time I made a shaker card, which is a fun something new to try. I wasn't planning on making one, but that's the fun of the creative process.

The invitation I made in the video was the last of the bunch. I already knew then it was going to be a shaker card, LOL! For some reason the collage glue stick didn't work well with the foil on the kraft cardstock, but by heating it with the heat tool it worked fine.

Below, the video of the whole process of how I made this shaker card. Enjoy!

What a fantastic take on a shaker card! I really adore the way you made its sparkles really stand out! And I love how you repeated the circle theme to make that gorgeous background.
