I can see clearly now card with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/

Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's We Can See Clearly Now. Use acetate, vellum, clear embossing powder or anything you can think of that is a little transparent.

What a great theme is this, I wanted to work with heat resistance acetate for a while now. This theme is perfect for that. Actually, I wanted to use it with my laser printer and work with Foil. But I don't know how well the acetate can takethe heat... And I don't wanna ruin my printer over it. Okay, that were my crazy thoughts... Let's go on with the actual project I made.

I'm so in love the Opal Magic Alchemy paint from Prima Marketing. Since I also wanted to work with the Distress crayons I used it as a base. This paint is very smooth, and doesn't have much bite as other paint. But by applying several layers I finally got the result I wanted.
After I die cut the butterflies, I gave them some color with Distress Crayons. The same applies for acetate, it doesn't stay so well when you want to rub it or if you add some water. But with some patience and adding more layers, you can build up some color.

Another tip if you try acetate with wet glue, sand the back first here with some sandpaper, otherwise it comes right off ... I speak from experience!
For the whole proces of making this card, see the video below.

You tackled it and won! I like the soft, rich sheen--the depth of color is apparent and is a very attractive feature.

So very pretty - I love the colors you have used. I am going to watch your video now. I watched a TH video that he says you have to lay down a lot of color when using the crayons. I think you have done a beautiful job using this product Sandra!

Oh Sandra, you crazy Spielberg! I really don't know what I love the most of your videos: the great music you choos everytime, the crazy speed in your hands or all the techniques you show! I have to think about that. The crazy thing is that I'm listening the youtube mix of Kensington right now after seing your video :-) I really miss them the whole week :-) You're amazing!
