Beach fun card with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/

Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about Nautical/By the beach.

Last week I went to Croatia, and I've seen beautiful beaches and also been on a beautiful small island at the sea. Croatia has mostly pebbly beaches but that didn't spoil it for a lot of beach fun. I spent two days lovely situated under a palm tree on a comfortable beach bed. Perfect vacation!

For my card I used paper from an old collection of Authentique. This is no longer available, but Simon Says Stamp has the recent Authentique collection called Seaside which is very similar in stock. I've linked to it. This card is twice as large as the cards I normally make.

The clouds are made with the Talk Bubbles 2 dies from Simon Says Stamp. I colored them with Hickory Smoke Distress Ink and to create more interest I used the Tiny Circles Stencil.

  4. One observation: do you have an ink-proof kind of hands? With so much inking with distresses I am always dirty like a 3 years old child! How do you do that without get your fingers dirty!? And now I can keep clm and adore the backgrounds with polka dots and rings and other stencils and stamps. I love them every time I watch your videos. This is pure addiction. Hugs, Marzena
