It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Things with Wings".
There are so many things with wings, not only animals, but also transport like airplanes and other things. But I set my heart on this dragonfly. I started with the Ricket stencil and Crackle Copper Texture Paste. The next step was the Texture Iron Orchid stamp. With Opal Magice Rose Gold paint, I applied the next layer to give it a soft pink color with a lovely gold shimmer.
When everything was dry I applied the first layer of infusions with Mod Podge diluted with water and Sunset Beach Infusions. Because of Mod Podge (or any Gel Medium) I can apply a more even layer for the background and this also will keep the Infusions intact and make them permanent when the Mod Podge is dry. I then applied more layers with Sunset Beach and Lemoncillo Infusions with water. By moving the surface during drying it with heat tool it gives me very cool effects.
