Handmade flowers card with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Handmade Flowers".

To use washi tape as a base layer is so very fun. It gives a cool effect, and it gives me the chance to use up my washi tape that I find very beautiful, but rarely use. This time it was time for some gold with navy washi tape. Over the washi tape applied a layer of Opal Magic Blue-Gold. When that was dry I applied Infusions Royal Blood and Brusho Prussian Blue with Mod Podge mixed with water and after that only with water. I wanted the Washi was still visible so I didn't add a lot of pigment powders.

The flowers are made with the Tattered Flower Garland die. I die cut everything from black cardstock. Some I painted gold with Opal Magic Blue-Gold and some I gave a blue hue with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Crayon.

The frame is made with Stitched Oval Frames die and also made blue with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Crayon. I die cut the oval also with a transparent sheet, but the thinlits don't really cut through plastic. So I trimmed it a bit and had a clear window.
