It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Warm Winter Wishes".
Christmas is getting closer and I still haven't got all my Christmas cards ready. I was in the mood for a green Christmas card. I grabbed some Christmas green with gray Distress Inks and got started. I went for an old technique called the "Wrinkle Free Distress" with Pine Needles, Iced Spruce, Evergreen Bough and Hickory Smoke. My paper was certainly not wrinkle free after that... So I ran it through the Vagabond with a few sheets of paper and that really helps with the wrinkles.
For the Tree Line I used the same colors of Distress Ink, Pine Needles, Iced Spruce and Evergreen Bough. First I did the lighter trees for the background and added water to the stamp to make it lighter and get a water color effect. Then with the darker colors for the trees in the front I only used Pine Needles and no water to get a crispier result.
To give it a more winter effect, I needed some snow. With the Degrade de Points stencil and Distress Ink Iced Spruce I used Simon Says Stamp White Embossing Powder. I also wanted to apply some foil, and I used my favorite technique with Bonding Powder.
