It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Stars".
I found the colors I used in the previous challenge really beautiful and thought why wouldn't I use them for all the rest of my Christmas cards (spoiler alert;)). Because I was using resin pieces, I used a piece of corrugated cardboard. With Nuvo Expanding Mousse Worn Linen (thanks Marzena) I applied it with a base layer. Then added some texture with the Glitter Glaze Fallen Snow and the Stars stencil.
After the Glitter Glaze was dry I used Nuvo Shimmer Powder Storm Cloud, and this time too it was dark blue instead of dark gray ... Still surprised that I didn't realize that before ... haha. Then I used Infusions In The Navy and also Black Knight. Just like with the previous card. What a cool combination that is. I switched from heat tool to heat gun halfway through, and that has another effect on how the powders dry up. It gives more lines, and I think that's so cool. If you don't like that, then keep using the heat tool.
I gave the resin star a metallic glow with Metallique Wax White Gold. And the smaller stars I only did the edges. With Nuvo Shimmer Powder Storm Cloud I've given the Art Stones color and I used Lava Paste for the first time. But I applied too much and it was not to my liking, so I removed it and even the remnants expanded a bit. I have to experiment a little more with this, it really expanse lite crazy :).
