Layered card with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Layer It".

As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Tim Holtz. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

For this card I've applied several layers, the more the better. The first layer was Typeset Collage Paper. I love to use it, it adds so much to the background. Then some old book paper, Urban Layers and washi tape. To move it into the background I applied a layer of White Gesso, and because I don't like the grit of it, I put a layer of Clear Gesso on top. The advantage of these two layers is that when drying with a heat tool it will bubble and that gives great texture.

For the last texture layer I used Texture Paste and Deco Arch stencil. I made the Texture Paste black with Distress Paint Black Soot. After it dried I started using some colors. First, Nuvo Shimmer Powder Cherry Bomb, and Infusions Are You Cherise. Then Nuvo Shimmer Powder Solar Flare and Liquid Acrylics True Yellow.
I made the edges intense dark with Distress Paint Black Soot.
