Star Shine card with tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Star Light Star Bright".

This time not a Christmas card but a birthday card. It has become an edgy card despite the star theme. I started with mixing Texture Paste and Nuvo Mousse Black Ash together, and used it with the Slate stencil. With Nuvo Mousse Aquamarine and a blending tool I've given the background some color and made it a little water resistant. This in order to work with Infusions.

With 3 different colors of Infusions, A Bit Jaded, Green Man and In The Navy I've created the background to give it a kind of industrial look. Together with the slate that I've given more depth with Nuvo Mousse Black Ash and with Metallique Wax Bronze Age, and the colors, I think it's a nice and grungy whole. Then it was time for the main piece of this project, the Dimensional Star, which I cut out of Copper Metallic cardstock. I sanded the edges and distressed it with Nuvo Mousse Black Ash and with Metallique Wax Bronze Age. It's difficult to glue this star down, in the end it worked pretty well with double-sided tape.

Fantastic! The bricks are so realistic, what a stunning effect. I love your innovative ideas of using products I have but would bever think of using them this way like that. Love what you make with Nuvo mousses (texture paste, ink) can't wait what you imagine next. Hugs, Marzena
