Time for Fun card with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Time Out".

For this card I wanted to keep the background mainly white, so I started with that in my mind. First I applied Opal Magic Blue-Gold paint in the middle of the card. I always apply this paint with a Silicone Brush. Because this paint dries very quickly and is difficult to get out of the bristles of a brush. On top of that I started working with Distress Oxides. Because the paint maked that the Oxide remains on top of the paint, it reacts differently when you apply a new layer. It blends much more with each other. This makes it tricky to build up layers.

The next step was to add some stamping to give the background more interest. First the Read to Me stamp, and because the theme is Time Out, I also used the Weathered Clock stamp with two different colors of Distress Oxide. I first applied Washi Tape to the middle part of the card and then added a part of the Weathered Clock die. I've given this a bit more dimension by applying Nuvo Mousse and Brilliance Wax.

To top it off I used the Clock stamp that is cut out, together with the Paperdolls, Clipping Stickers, Label Letter Stickers and lastly Nuvo Drops.

Great card, Sandra! Love how you left the background mostly white with some color, so the details really pop. Those girls look like they could get up to a lot of mischief! Happy May! Maura

This is so pretty! And I loved how you wanted to leave white space. I struggle with leaving white, but you have proved here that white can really pack a bunch! It's stunning!
