It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Any Holiday Occasion".
As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Visible Image. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.
For this card I was inspired by the beautiful snowflake stamp from Visible Image. First I started with the background. I used the colors Speckled Egg and Hickory Smoke in both Distress Ink and Oxide. I used the stamp with Simon Says Stamp Super Fine White Embossing Powder and Versamark Ink. Something very strange happened during the heating process. The embossing powder disappeared for a large part. I didn't feel like I was overheating it. So I stamped it again, not exactly in the same spot, but good enough.
I colored the stamp with Distress Oxide Spray Speckled Egg and a regular brush. And then applied some glitter with Wink or Stella Clear Glitter Brush. At the bottom of the card I wanted to use the Treeline stamp. First I did that with Distress Oxide Stormy Sky and water. But that became a bit unrecognizable. After it dried, I stamped it again with Distress Oxide Faded Jeans and this time without water.
The sentiment is from the stamp set Heart of Christmas from the latest release of Simon Says Stamp called PEACE ON EARTH.
