Groceries notepad

Hi everyone,

Monday equals Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! And this time it's a no rules challenge, just craft! Have fun!

My last notepad was empty, all the pages were ripped out and that was perfect, because I wanted to create a new one in the new colors of my interior: mint and teal. This is a good moment to evaluate whether I need some improvements when I make another one. But actually it is perfect, I have no alterations. The firm canvas board cover are very suitable and fit into the Cinch.

The first thing that I wanted to use was washi tape. And then I stamped the text on tissue paper and applied it with Glue N Seal. At such a textured surface it's very difficult to get a crisp print with stamping.

I knew I wanted to play with Classic Teal colored Embossing Paste, but I didn't know which stencil. When I was browsing through my stencils I saw the Stripes one and I knew this would fit perfectly with the look I wanted. Yes!

The inside I designed in Illustrator, and decorated with the Ring Doily and Blocked Circles with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink.

The textured stripes are striking and the feathers the perfect vertical composition. Beautiful cover and I love the touch of color on the pages with the stencil!

This is a great idea! I don't think I've ever had something this stylish to write my grocery list down on! I really like the sentiment you've added and the idea that every day has a story waiting!

Hi Sannie,

I'm so taken by your grocery notebook - I have a few gifts to make for friends and I think your idea is splendid. Love what you did, all of it - so imaginative.

What am outstanding design, striking color combos really play off each other and I admire the graphic quality. Great tip for stamping on tissue paper, too!
