Halloween Bottles card with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week theme is  "It's a Wrap".

When I think of packaging, I also think of bottles. And so close to Halloween I couldn't help myself thinking of Apothecary Bottles (thanks Frederique!). I gave them color with Distress Ink, Tumbled Glass and Antique Linen for the small bottle and Peeled Paint with Ground Espresso for the larger bottle. After applying Embossing Dabber I poured  UTEE over and heated it with a heat tool. To create the glossy effect this could also have done with Glossy Accents, but UTEE goes a lot faster and gives the same effect. And there are no air bubbles you have to worry about. Because the Embossing Dabber is a bit liquid the Distress Ink reacts to that, but that actually gives it an unexpectedly cool distressed effect.

Using UTEE with Crackle Paint and then heating it with a heat tool is not a good idea. You get extra texture, sure, but no crackle .... For the background I worked with Distress Oxides and Infusions. By working with Infusions you get different colors than only with Distress Oxides. To use some packaging in my project, I used a piece of bubble wrap as a stamp with Distress Paint Black Soot.

You don't stop surprising me with your amazing ideas. This card is BEAUTIFUL although Halloween is not my thing but you know I love your spooky projects. And... I think utee could be "my thing" cause it's lovely and looks like glass and I wonder why I don't have it yet? The background and its countless number of color layers is just perfect! LOOOVE IT! Hugs, Macarena.
