It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Vintage/Past Times".
I wanted to use the technique I used last time once again, but instead of cutting it twice with the Mixed Media set, I wanted to emboss it. And luckily I had the Latticework stencil that matches the die. When the Texture Paste was dry, I random stamped with the Read to Me stamp. Then I applied a layer of Clear Gesso on the whole card.
After the Clear Gesso was dry, I started using Nuvo Shimmer Powder to apply color. I used three colors for this, Catherine Wheel, Cherry Bomb and Solar Flare. And for the vintage feel I also used Infusions, Sunset Beach and Black Knight. The Black Knight is very intense and since the other colors are a lot ligher, I had to apply some extra layers of Shimmer Powder and Sunset Beach Infusions to make a better transition. I darkened the edges with Distress Paint and Crayon, first with the paint, and finally with the Crayon.

Gorgeus card Sandra :-) the background is fabulous and I loved watching the video of how you did this :-)
I saw that you had popped little holes in the infusions, what a great idea! I always struggle with sprinkling too much and it comng out in big lumps!! This is a great tip! :-)
