Adore you

Hi everyone,

Last week I joined in with the challenge of Dutch Card Lovers, and today there is a new challenge. This time the challenge is to make a card in the shape of a heart. I am totally impressed with the cards that the members of the design team have created. An abundance of inspiration came over me! Valentine cards are so much fun to make, but even more fun to get one...;).

I made the hearts with Make The Cut software, I'm totally crazy about this program. It works perfectly and you can do lots with it. The scalloped edges are made by using donut shapes and used the follow path feature so it goes around the heart. The smaller hearts are made with insert shadow. I learn new things everytime I use MTC. I then cut all the hearts out with my eCraft.

Materials used:
  • Ribbon
  • Button
  • 3D Foam

Just a Girl

Hi everyone,

Finally some time and inspiration for making a card:). It's time for Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge. This time the challenge is to use a song title as the theme of our project. I think there are lots of great songs, but one of my favorite songs is Just a Girl by No Doubt. It represents a fun time in my live, rebelling against my parents and stuff. haha.
I've already played with coloring stamps with distress ink, but I'm just not very good at it (yet...). No reason to don't give it another try for this card! After all, I do need to practice ... I think it will be easier with the new Tim Holtz Distress markers, that he has announced on his blog! I would really like to have them all, but I have to save up first...

I used my stamp and cut methode again. My eCraft was giving me some problems, but I think I know why that was. I always use a cardstock stabilizer, but the one I was using was too thin and now I used a thinker one, and it worked fine again! Pfewww.

Hi everybody!

Today I got a tip from Lein to participate in the Dutch Card Lovers challenge. The challenge is to use a photo in your card. I find that quite difficult. But a while ago I came across a really cool site with lots of beautiful vintage photos. I picket the photo I've used once before. It's a beautiful picture!
