Creepy Christmas Eve card

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Lets Get Ready For Christmas".

I'm not yet ready for Christmas at the moment, and I'm more in the Halloween mood, so I made a crossover of a Halloween and Christmas card. I started to make a circle from Masking Paper that is masking off the moon. Then I used Distress Ink Ripe Persimmon and Distress Oxide Spiced Marmalade and Antique Linen on the top half and Distress Ink Black Soot, Hickory Smoke and Distress Oxide Antique Linen on the bottom half and a little on the top.

It's a unique set and I totally love these creepy and fun creatures. Check out this unique and limited stamp set quick before it's sold out!

I colored this dapper dracula bat with Distress Ink Hickory Smoke, Black Soot, Tattered Rose and Barn Door. I masked it of and used the stars stencil that comes with the stamp set with Texture Paste and Metallique Paint Flame.

Stitched Halloween card with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Stitch it".

I'm in my Halloween groove again and have chosen a piece of the Abandoned Paper Stash as my background. I just didn't know how to proceed. I first started stamping with Distress Oxide, because it contains pigment. But I thought it was too dark and I started applying Witte Gesso. This made it easier to add lighter colors.

Monochrome Halloween card with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Monochrome".

For this monochrome card I chose to make it in Halloween style again and chose orange for my color. First I applied a layer of Clear Gesso and then with the Swirly Florals stencil I added some texture with blackened Texture Paste. When the Texture Paste was dry I applied the first layer of orange in with Distress Ink Ripe Permisson. And added more orange with Orange County Infusions and Nuvo Shimmer Powder Storm Cloud.

Christmas Stamp It card with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Stamp it". Because it's STAMPtember at Simon Says Stamp we're also showcasing one of the products from this release.

Another Christmas card from me, it's actually much too early for me to make Christmas cards at this time. But I got the Inside Christmas Greeting stamp from the STAMPtember release, so that's the reason LOL. I started with the Simon Says Stamp Deco Diamonds background stamp and Gold Gmbossing Powder. With Nuvo Expanding Mousse Worn Linen I've given it a metallic layer, and colored it in a sort of pattern with Nuvo Shimmer Powder Golden Sparkle.

Shadow Skull Halloween card with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Using a clear element". And we're also showcasing Visible Image products. So if you have any, we would love to see them in your project.

The Skull Shadow mask was my starting point for this card. First I made the background brown with Distress Ink Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain. With Sticky Grid I attached my card to my surface, and then I also stuck down the mask with washi tape. Without the Sticky Grid it would have been a lot harder to keep everything in place and get a nice and clean result from the mask.

STAMPtember Christmas card

Hi everyone,

It's September and that means it's STAMPtember® at Simon Says Stamp! This is the 10th anniversary, and there are lots of extra's and fun things planned during this month. And today is the STAMPtember® Blog Party! There are lots of gorgeous projects to see that have used products from this amazing STAMPtember® release. So go check it out after reading this post of course :).

And check the special offer below, you can have you're own exclusie 10th Anniversary STAMPtember Apron for FREE! Please read all the details about it below. It's a limited offer!

From the STAMPtember® release I got the Inside Christmas Greetings stamp set to play with. This stamp set has all kind of sentiments that are perfect for inside but also on a Christmas card. I started with the background like I almost always do. I used Opal Magic Paint Blue-Gold and Green-Gold and started building up color. With Infusions and Distress Oxide Broken China.

The way the Infusions looked made me think of Christmas trees, so I stamped the Tree Line stamp on top of it with Archival Ink Jet Black. And I felt there was snow in the air, and I used the Snowflakes stencil with Worn Linen Nuvo Expanding Mousse.

On top of a strip of Simple Stories Basic paper I stamped the Inside Christmas Greetings sentiment with VersaMark Ink and used Simon Says Stamp White Embossing Powder. Around the edges I applied Distress Ink Ground Espresso and on top of that I added Bonding Powder that I heated and rubbed Driftwood foil on it.
