Sparkly Halloween card with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Glimmer and Sparkle".

It took me a little longer than usual to get into the Halloween mood this year, but I'm here LOL! And I immediately turned up the creep factor with my first Halloween card. Was totally inspired by Tim Holtz's Idea-ology live stream last Saturday. For my background I used Distress Ink, Oxide and sprays. I used my own shimmer spray from Distress Spray Stain Rusty Hinge and Perfect Pearls Perfect Copper and Distress Oxide Spray Black Soot.

Can't wait to get the new Moon Masks (order has shipped), but until then I'll be using these amazing moon stickers I have had for years. The Halloween Paper Dolls are already spooky themselves, but by making the eyes black with a white highlight in them, they are immediately more creepy. I colored the dress of the Paper Doll with Rusty Hinge Distress Crayon, and the word stickers are from the Curiosities Sticker book.

Splatter and Spritz card with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "XXX".

Lately, I've been trying to challenge myself to try other color combinations. For this card I used  a sweet and bright color mix with Abandoned Coral, Worn Lipstick and Salvaged Patina.
First I started with the 3 colors for the background. I also wanted to add some texture and contrast, so I mixed Texture Paste with Salvaged Patina and Pixie Powder Peacock Green and used it with the Crate stencil.

That made it a little less sweet, but sweetness level could still be toned down even more. So I did some random stamping with the Ledger Script and Dapper stamp set and used my new favorite Washi Tape from AALL & Create. That made it a lot more bold. Thought it would be nice touch to add wildflowers in black and I used the Perfect Pearl Mint spray that I made recently with Salvaged Patina Spray Stain and Rose Gold Metallic Wax.
