Happy Everything card with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Feminine".

As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some of our very own Simon Says Stamp Products. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

My mother's birthday is always just before Mother's Day and we always celebrate the both at the same time. The Happy Everything die of Simons Says Stamp previous release (All the feels) is perfect for it. My mom's favorite color is blue, which is generally not very feminine, and that's this week's challenge, so I added some pink accents as well.

For this card I used several Simon Says Stamp products, such as the Deco Diamonds stamp, I used this with Versamark and Simon Says Stamp White Embossing Powder over half of the card. My card is too narrow for the Happy Everything cutting die and so I made a landscape card out of it. Over the embossed part I used Distress Spray Stain in the colors Speckled Egg, Faded Jeans and Peacock Feathers. And also a bit of Infusions In The Navy.

The top half I used Distress Oxide Speckled Egg and Faded Jeans. And over that I used Nuvo Expanding Mousse Worn Linen with the Simon Says Stamp Diamond Circles stencil. This gives it a metallic shimmer effect.

Christmas City card with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Cityscape".

This is my last Christmas card of the season and. As I already told last time, I made them in the same colors and in the same style as the others. As a kind of serie. For the cityscape I used the City Scene stencil, a pretty cool and unique stencil, which gives you many options to use. They should also make a die of it. That would be amazing!

Anyway, back to my Christmas card, first I applied a layer of Nuvo Expanding Mousse Worn Linen (thanks Marzena!) as with the other cards. Then with the Degrade the Points stencil applied some sparkle with the Glitter Glaze Fallen Snow. When that was dry, I started with my serie colors, Nuvo Shimmer Powder Storm Cloud, Infusion In The Navy and Black Knight. This time I also used Distress Ink Black Soot to give the Texture Paste some color, but I went over it with Infusions for a more intense color using a brush.

The word "City" is not in the Holiday Word die set, so I used Merry and Christmas with the Metallic-3 Cardstock and had all the letters I needed. I also used this Cardstock with the Alpha Lower dies and the Simon Says Stamp Stacked Stars. To make them into stickers, I use double-sided tape, which I stick to the back of the cardstock before I run it through the die-cutting machine. Super handy, especially with small pieces.
