    Summertime of distress

    Hi everyone,

Yesterday I had a crafty afternoon with Lein at my place. I just had to work with the new distress inks. Those colors are so pretty and I couldn't stand the temptation any longer. That pink color, picked raspberry, is just drop dead gorgeous! It's my favorite bright color along with peacock feathers. I also used my favorites wooden butterflies embellies and my zig zag punch, hihi! To create the background of the card I've used Tim's wrinkle free technique. For the OCC challenge of this week I used 10 butterflies. Can you spot them all? You have to look very closely! There really are 10 of them!

    Tiemo's 2nd Birthday

    Hi everyone,

Two days ago Tiemo turned 2. Tiemo is the son of a friend of mine. On sunday he celebrates his birthday and that calls for a birthday card. I found it quite difficult to make a card for a two year old boy. When I knew that I wanted to use that cute frog, the rest came naturally. This background stamp is currently a favorite of mine. I really like it as well as the zigzag punch. Can't use it enough!

When I took the pictures I noticed that I had written 2th instead of 2nd. Super silly of me. I don't think Tiemo will blame me for it. He might not even notice it...

With this card I'm entering the following challenges:

    Ara colors shining through

    Hi everyone,
Today's tag was especially inspired by the picture of Frilly and Funkie photo challenge. This parrot is really gorgeous and I just had to use those colors. Of course I also use wings and so I came up with the idea to use the wing stamp of Tim Holz to color it like it were wings of the parrot. I colored them with distress markers. The wooden butterflies could not be missed. I think those butterflies are so cute and they can go with almost everything. I find that making a tissue wrap flower isn't a easy as it seems. But after some practice I made some I liked. I really love the small one I've used on this tag! The tissue wrap flower is the technique used for Compendium of Curiosities 2 and this time it's sponsored by The Funkie Junkie's Boutique!

    I'm entering this tag to:
  • Frilly and Funkie : inspiration photo
  • Our Creative Corner: Buttons ′n Burlap or Bows
  • Compendium of Curiosities 2: tissue wrap flower
  • Simon Says Stamp and Show: a bit of brown

    Father's day gifts

    Hi everyone,

Just in the nick of time I made my Father's Day gifts. My father has to wait a few days for these gifts, and he reassured that he didn't mind. I had a crafty afternoon with Lein, we both made the tie box, and I also made the card. I so love SVGcuts! And she gave me these Simon Says Stamp stamps! She is so sweet!

    12 tags of 2012 - June

    Hi everyone,

Finally I had the time and material to make the June tag of the 12 tags of 2012. This is the first time I saw what you can do with the nibs. And the coloring of black and white vintage photos technique is so cool! So I had to get them. The paper I used does not really work well with the coloring technique, I have to find other photo paper that works better. The picture that I printed out is a bit too big, because now you can't see the marbled stains background very well....

With this tag I'm also joining:

    CC2C #9 Pocket Watch

    Hi everyone,

For the Compendium of Curiosities 2 challenge we had to use the pocket watch from Tim Holtz. For this occasion I bought one. This is the first time I've worked with it. Because it is so small you are very limited in what fits inside. And so I was trying if a flower fitted inside, and the glass came out... Hope I can fix it with multi medium glue...

    DCL exists 3 years!

    Hi everyone,

Just in the nick of time a card which I participate with the Dutch Card Lovers challenge. Dutch Lovers Card celebrates their 3 year anniversary. This time they have 3 sketches to play with, you can choose only one or all three. Due to time constraints I have made only one. Yesterday I received my prize which I won last week at DCL(jippie!) and I wanted to play with it immediately. Yesterday was my lucky day, because I got (amongst other things...) this great stamp from Lein. It's from the Dear Lizzy collection! Lein is the sweetest!!

    Eiffel Tower Box

    Hi everyone,

I wanted to show you this project before I go to bed. As I said in my previous post,  the SVG kit contained a very nice Eiffel Tower. And I really wanted to make it. So I made it today. I had a blast creating it. So nice that there's a video tutorial on it!

With this project I'm entering Simon Says Stamp and Show - Some Texture challenge.

    Camille's Armoire

    Hi everyone,

Today I worked all day on making this cabinet. The process hasn't speed up a bit. But that's okay, it will not change overnight;). I started with it this morning and I finished about 2 hours ago, but I have taken some breaks, and even watched a movie :). This cabinet is from SVG cuts and when I saw it I was sold and I could not wait to make it. The Eiffel Tower that comes in the kit is also very cool! It's on my to make list. Fortunately there is also a video tutorial available, it's not difficult if you know what you need to do, so the video is still very useful! It was a long day and a big project, but I'm happy with the result! It's very sturdy, and it can hold heavy stuff like metal embellishments or jewerly. It's something you can use and not only looks pretty :).

The small wooden butterflies I bought at the Xenos this week. I think there are like a hundred in one package for only 2 euros! Sweet!

I participate with this cabinet with the following challenges:
