Crazy Dog Christmas card with video tutorial
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "It's a Dogs Life".

It's time for my first Christmas card of the season! Thanks to the Picture Book Santa from the new release of Simon Says Stamp 'Making Spirits Bright'! It was so much fun to dress up the crazy dog ad make him into Santa. First of all I colored him it with different colors. Distress Ink: Iced Spruced, Hickory Smoke, Black Soot, Tattered Rose, Antique Linen, Festive Berries and Mustard Seed. After I die cutted the Picture Book Santa, I cut out the middle piece with his hat and beard to fit it for the Crazy Dog. I drew around the edges with a black marker to make it into the style of the CD (Crazy Dog ;)).

The Ornate Frame # 2 I coated with lots of Grit-Paste to create a snowy effect. After drying, I appleid Opal Magic Wax Vintage Silk  for a little glimmer and it smells very nice too :). In the background, I applied with the STAMPtember Tim Holtz stencil some Texture Paste. On top of that I applied Opal Magic Blue-Gold paint. With Mod Podge I've used A Bit Jaded Infusions for some more depth.

To join in all you need to do is make a project that fits this weeks challenge and you can be the winner of the $50 gift voucher that our amazing sponsor Simon Says Stamp offers. Oh this is absolutely fantastic! I love the background so shimmery and textured. The stamp looks great there! The frame is amazing - so snowy and frosty - great effect, I need to try too. And the doggy disguised as Santa is so super cool! Love its hat which popps up here perfectly due to this vibrant red. Great idea! Hugs, Marzena
