Love is in the Air card with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Love is in the Air". We are also showcasing Carabelle products.

It's almost Valentine's Day and that's way the theme love is in the air this week. I've chosen to make a wedding card. I started with one of the 2 Flowers stencils from Carabelle. I made a stamp out of thick foam by making it hot with a heat tool and pressing the stencil into it when the foam is still warm. It doesn't work as well with a stencil as with like an embossing folder, but I also think the imperfection is very nice. I used 4 different Distress Oxide and  to always stamp in the same spot I attached the Heavystock onto the foam with some tape.

Then I also used the stencils as a stamp, the Distress Oxides are perfect for this. I used the Simon Says Stamp Drawn Hearts stencil, which I mixed with Texture Paste and Prima Sparkle paint in Iris Potion, for some texture. The beauty is that the sparkle remains and shines throught the paste.

OMG! This is the first time I see this kind of technique ever! What a crazy idea and fantastic result! I am amazed. And the way you stamp with stencil is so cool, too. My greatest jealousy though goes into the drops! This is pure perfection! I need to learn that. I got the same colors of the drops and can not use them that perfectly! Buuuu! Hugs, Marzena

This is such a great card! You can do pink like no one else I know! I love how it pops and how the pink is kept sophisticated by all of the touches of black. Beautiful work, as usual.
