Wheels of Time card with video tutorial
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Things with Wheels".

For this challenge I haven't used things with wheels, just only the wheels, cogwheels to be exact. I started with two dies from the Mixed Media # 6 set. After I've adhered a second sheet to the back, I stamped it with the Entomology stamp. Next I applied a layer of Clear Gesso.

I'm totally in love with the look of dark colors but with enough whitespace in the back. I first applied Faded Jeans Distress Ink to build up some color and then Infusions In The Navy and Nuvo Shimmer Powder Storm Cloud. To add more contrast, I used Distress Paint Black Soot with water to apply to the edges and sprayed it with water. Such a dramatic effect! Love it!

With the Gearhead dies I cut out the gears from black cardstock, I sprayed them with water and then dipped them under in Gunmetal / Pewter embossing powder. After I heated them, I added some VersaMark Ink in some places with a VersaMark Ink Pen and sprinkled them with Copper embossing powder and heated them again.

To join in all you need to do is make a project that fits this weeks challenge and you can be the winner of the $50 gift voucher that our amazing sponsor Simon Says Stamp offers. This prize will go to a random entry. So go over to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog, let the DT members inspire you and join in the fun!
