Lost in the Woods tag with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Not  a card".

Just a little while longer and it's Halloween, but not before another Halloween project. I made a tag and I've wanted to make this since I saw the Creepy Eyes last year. I started with regular tissue paper and Soft Matte Gel to apply a first layer of texture. Then it was time for the Creepy Eyes. I first took out the irises and glued the eye with foam squares. With tissue paper and Soft Matte Gel I started to work the eyes into the background.

After the Soft Matte Gel was dry, I started with Liquid Acrylics to give it some color. I choose the colors Avocado and Burnt Sienna. Also used Infusions Emerald Isle and Nuvo Shimmer Powder Green Parade and Storm Cloud. When I wanted to put the irises back, I noticed because of all the drying with the heat tool, that the eyes were distorted by the heat and the irises no longer fit. Wise lesson for next time, they are NOT heat resistant ;). I adhered them in place with a foam square.

To make it look even more like a forest I used the branches from the Small Tattered Floral die set and gave it a little color with Metallique Wax Bronze Age.

Ooh, what a fun and creepy tag! It does remind me of some times in the woods wondering who was watching, lol. Have a lovely week, Maura
