Going Green

Hi everyone,

Despite my busy schedule I managed to make ​​some time for this card. I'm so glad I finished the mass production of the invitations and I can enjoy being creative again. This time I've made an artsy looking background (at least I think I did...LOL). With this card, I participate with Grungy Monday, Our Creative Corner, Dutch Card Lovers and Inspiration Journal.







For Grungy Monday is the challenge to use a technique of the 12 tags of christmas 2007 day 2. I overlooked a stap, the part that you have to apply the embossing powder immediately after stamping it with paint. To make it up, I did that step afterwards.
For Our Creative Corner, I had to choose 3 things that I wanted to use. My choice are: brads, glitter and stickers. I'll help you to locate the sticker, it is the flower that I've put through the sticker maker.
Dutch Card Lovers has a sketch as challenge.

Time to celebrate!

Hi everyone,

I keep repeating myself about being so busy. Nothing has changed in that area I'm affraid. LOL. It is very busy at work and also I have my own company where it's very busy as well. On top of that I am planning a party for my parents. For the party I have made 30 invitations. 30 doesn't seem much, but it took me forever! Maybe like 15 hours or so, maybe even more. That's at least 30 minutes a card! Anyway, I'm joining in with Mojo Monday and Paper Take Weekly with these invitations.







The party that I'm planning is a surprise party for my parents. They are married 40 years this year. Don't know if turning 65 is a big deal in the rest of the world, but here in Holland it does, because this is the age that you retire from work. And both my parents are turning 65 this year. My father turned 65 in January and my mother will turn 65 in May. I've never planned a party before, I loving it (so far... LOL). Only it costs a lot of time. Tomorrow I'm going to mail the invitations, and than I hope things will calm down a bit. At least with the party planning...

It's in my new bag

Hi everyone,

Lately I've been super busy and I hardly can make time to be creative. But this weekend I had plenty of time and I immediately took on a major project, making a bag! I've already told you that a very good friend of mine gave me a brand new iPad (!!!) the other day and now I need to take it with me every where I go. But my current bag is completely  worn, so time to make a new one . Terry gave me the idea of ​​making a bag for Grungy Monday. It put me under considerable pressure because I wanted to make it on time, and fortunately I just made it! I have made this bag ​​from scratch and it took forever!! Most of my bags have removable flaps and straps and so does this bag. Unfortunately I had no time left for making a new flap and strap and therefore I have altered an existing one. I'm planning to make a nice brooch of the tattered flower so I can pin it on my bag.

With this bag I'm entering Grungy Monday, despite it isn't very grungy, and I'm entering Simon Says Stamp and Show again.
