You're the best!

Last Friday, Ellen got me super cool gift. She gave me a brand new iPad 2! I am as happy as a little child with it! hihi. And of course I want to thank her with a card (at least)!  This is now the 3rd Canary Love I've colored. I feel that if I color in the same picture in several ways, I'll get the feel of the colors I have a bit better. So I'm afraid you'll see the Canary Love digi a few times more. LOL

Okay, back to the card, I'm entering this card for Our Creative Corner, where the theme of Black and White with a splash of color. Hopefully I have not used too much color .... And I entering a new challenge blog (for me), Papertake Weekly. And the theme is Black & White & Red all over again.

Knutsel Enzo workshop

Hi everyone,

More than a week ago, Lein and me have done a coloring with copic marker workshop at Knutsel Enzo. I've showed you the results of that already. I got this workshop for my birthday from Lein. When I did this workshop, I didn't have any copics, but I already knew a bit about the techniques. I'm that kind of person who diggs up all the info on something which I really what to have and knows all the details. But I have certainly learned a lot during this workshop. There is a world of differents between theory and actually doing it. But it went very well. I had a lots of fun. And on 'Marktplaats' (sort of a dutch ebay),  I bought a set of 71 Copic Ciao with a matching bag. I've got to start somewhere, and this will not be the last ones I'll buy, but first I want to see what I can do with these colors.
 
Anyway, for the workshop it was the intention to make a lunchbag with the colored image, but I didn't notice it, otherwise I had chosen different colors.
And now I've colored a different image, it's Canary Love by Krista Smith. I find her digi stamps totally awesome. A bit difficult for a beginner, but I'm pleased with the results.
I forgot to write down all the colors I've used. I'm training myself to do this!

12 tags of 2012 - February

Hi everyone,

Earlier this week, Tim came with a brand new idea for the 12 tags. His new idea is to make a tag each month of the year instead of all 12 tags in december. I think it's a great idea, because I found it very stressful last time, although I'm glad I joined in the fun! The 12 tags of christmas was really a happening and really something to look forward to, but now we can enjoy it throughout the year! And this time the theme is Valentine!

Tim's tag

I do not have many of the supplies Tim used, so I give it a go with what I have. But I'm trying to make them as close as I can to the original. That's my method of getting the hang of the techniques. 

And with this tag I'm joing in the fun of Grungy Monday, which challenge was to make a Tim Valentine themed creation. And this challenge is sponsered by Simon Says Stamp! And also with the Simon Says Stamp Challenge, which theme is Tag it.

The cupid I have found on the Internet and I cut it out with the eCraft The little fellow is very similar to that of Tim! Unfortunately I have no honeycomb paper. And I did a different technique with aluminum foil and alcohol ink, in this case a copic marker, from the last 12 tags.

Cupcakes for the boys

Hi everyone,

Today just a quick short post. I've made some cupcakes for valentine's day for the men at work (because almost all of my colleagues are men). I baked them yesterday, and put them in the freezer so they stayed fresh. And today  they only needed to be decorated. I've been busy with them for 4.5 hours!! I can not believe it took me so long. Oh well, I'm very happy I'm going to bed now!! Pfff, I am so very exhausted!

XoXo - ATC

Hi everyone,

Today was a very creative day. This afternoon I had a coloring with Copic markers workshop with Lein. Super much fun! I don't have any Copic Markers, but I would certainly love to have them now. I've got to find out which ones I want. Here is my result. I have to make a card of it, but now I have to do something else first.

 

Tonight, my friend Ellen and I had an evening full of crafting fun. She wanted to make a valentine card for Aaron (her boyfriend). It was a bit tricky, but I love the two card she made. Meanwhile I made ​​my first ATC. It is quite difficult to make such a small card, but I'm very happy with the result.





With this ATC I'm joining the fun with Grungy Monday, Simon Says Stamp and Show and Inspiration Journal.
The challenge of Grungy Monday was to make a Holtz-ian to ATC​​.
Simon Says Stamp and Show had us follow a recipe, it had to have torn edges, and there must be wings, distress ink and a button on it.
For Inspiration Journal, the intention was to stuck a heart on it.
