Walk on the Dark Side Halloween card

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Walk on the Dark Side". And we're also showcasing Tim Holtz products for this challenge. If you have any we love the see them in action!

What a fantasic combo, Halloween and Tim Holtz! I think I've never made a Halloween card without at least using a few of Tim Holtz's products. What a party this week! I've turned on of the Time Travelers into a vampire. This idea came to me later, I actually wanted to make him a creepy count, but then I realized that the most creepy count I know is Count Dracula. In contrast to the dark background and the creepy guy, I gave him a red suit with black accents instead of a black suit with red accents. I've all done this with different Distress Oxides and Distress Inks.

I've used two different masking methods, the MicroGlaze first. With this method there is no way that ink can get underneath, like with some other methods might happen. But this has the disadvantage that if it gets heated it soakes into the paper and it doesn't resist the ink very well. For stamping I've  used Post-It tape as masking. I think that is the easiest method in combination with stamping. The Droplets I've colored With Red Pepper Alcohol Ink. It was a bit of a fight to get them out of the griplock bag, it got a bit messy... But fortunately Alchohol Ink is very fast drying ink.
