Koala Birth card with video tutorial
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Something New". Wishing you all a wonderful New Year!

A dear friend of mine is having a new baby boy this month, so what is more new then that, LOL! So I created this baby Koala card with the Picture Book Koala die from the latest Simon Says Stamp release that's called Friends.

First I started on the background using the Wooden Plank stamp white White Embossing powder. When it was heat set I went over it with Nuvo Mousse Aquamarine and Pure Platinum. With A Bit Jaded and Slime Infusions I added some color. But needed some more intense colors, so I also used Twisted Citron and Broken China Distress Oxide.

The frame around the Koala is the Drip Drop die from Seth Apter, I added some texture using Grit-Paste and gave it color with Seaspray Gree, Pacific Teal and Black Ash Nuvo Mousses. Love that stuff, it's so versatile.
I chose soft colors because it's a baby card, but had fun adding some grungy elements.

To join in all you need to do is make a project that fits this weeks challenge and you can be the winner of the $50 gift voucher that our amazing sponsor Simon Says Stamp offers. This prize will go to a random entry. So go over to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog, let the DT members inspire you and join in the fun!

Totally AMAZING! I love the background stamp and embossed is even more pretty! The result of your color blending is stunning and I love how the oxides covered the infusions. You built an amazing koala and the frame you out it in was poerfectly done with texture and color. Beautiful card! Happy New Year, Sandra! Hugs, Macarena
