It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Winter Blues".
Winter is not my season, I think you know that by now LOL! I don't like the cold at all, but I can appreciate the beauty of the snow if I don't have to go out;). Luckily for me, the winter in the Netherlands fortunately is still very mild, although I know that isn't good for nature at all... I also find the short days so depressing, but fortunately the shortest day is already behind us and we are slowly approaching to the longest day. In those short, dark days, everyone suffers from winter blues at some point, right?
For this challenge I made a birthday card, a bit of a winter vibe and especially with a lot of blues. I started with Distress Oxide Faded Jeans and Distress Ink Stormy Sky. I've put these in the middle of the card. I applied on the bottom Nuvo Mousse Pacific Teal and then used the Swiss Dots stencil for some depth. I used the top Nuvo Mousse Old Navy and the Mini Dot Fade.
As main feature I used the Spellbinders Ferns, I gave them different colors with Nuvo Mousse. Pacific Teal, Old Navy, Aquamarine and Seaspray Green. Pacific Teal gives a different color than you expect, it's different from the other mousses. It seems more transparent.
