S is for Scary card
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "S is for...".

Of course I had to come up with an S that had to do with Halloween. And fortunately that wasn't so difficult. I started with the background using the Halloween Collage Paper, and I applied Clear Gesso over it. That works better to apply color like Infusions and Nuvo Shimmer Powder. But first I used different stamps from the Undertaker to fill in the white spaces. Then I added some texture with the Bubble stencil and Texture Paste that I made black with Distress Paint Black Soot.

When it was dry, it was time to apply the traditional Halloween colors of orange, purple and green. First with Infusions Blackcurrant, Orange County and Nuvo Shimmer Powder Fallen Leaves. Then with Distress Ink Seedless Preserves, Mowed Lawn and Ripe Persimmon. I darkened the edges with Distress Ink Ground Espresso and Distress Crayon Black Soot. The Old Gent of the Paper Dolls set I darkened his suit with Distress Crayon Black Soot and made his eyes look hollow with a black marker and have given them a white dot as irises.

To join in all you need to do is make a project that fits this weeks challenge and you can be the winner of the $50 gift voucher that our amazing sponsor Simon Says Stamp offers. Ooh, that's definitely spooky - I wouldn't like to meet him on a dark night. So creepy how he's emerging out of the shadowy depths - what a cool card!

Super spooky card Sandra!! he is very scary and his eyes with the white dots makes it seem like you're looking right through into his soul! The dark background is fabulous too :-)

Hope you have a great week!
