It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "A Bit O' Green".
For this challenge I made a green Easter card. In the Netherlands we don't celebrate St. Patrick's day, but we do celebrate Easter. I started by applying some texture with the Tiles stencil and Texture Paste. Then I applied the first shades of green with Opal Magic Paint Green-Gold. Because I wanted to work with paint and pigment powder, I think it would work better to use something like a primer, so I applied a layer Clear Gesso.
With Infusions Emerald Isle I started to build up more of the green colors. The next step was Metallique Paint Golden Moss diluted with water, this is permanent and that is exactly what I wanted. It's important that I stopped adding or just added water at the right time. The next green color was Nuvo Shimmer Powder Green Parade, for a subtle metallic green tint. I used Distress Ink, Peeled Paint and Mowed Lawn as the last green color.
From the new Simon Says Stamp Lucky to Know You release, I used the Faberge Egg die, I only used the sentiment, because it fitted better with the card I was making. You don't always have to use the entire die :). I made the Garden Greens green with Peeled Paint and Mowed Lawn and distressed it a bit with Distress Ink Ground Espresso.
