It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Playing with Paint".
As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Dina Wakely. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.
This time I played with Gloss Sprays from Dina Wakely for the first time. I had already seen some videos of it and how cool they mix, especially if it is on a surface that the paints can not soaki inimmediately. First started with collaging the background with Collage Paper Botanical and normal tissue paper, but also with pieces of old book paper and Washi Tape. On top of it I applied a layer of White Gesso, and then a layer of Clear Gesso. Just the way I like my Gesso ;).
Then it was time for the Gloss Sprays. What a cool color you get when Magenta and Lemon mix together. Then it almost becomes a fluorescent orange. That isn't clearly visible in the video and photos, but believe me it is really a very bright orange color. For me, the colors were a little too light and too soft and I also wanted to use some extra paint, so I used Liquid Acrylics Magenta and True Yellow. To give the color even more depth, I used Infusions and Nuvo Shimmer Powder.
I gave the Paperdoll a colored dress with Distress Embossing Glaze Fossilized Amber.
