It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Stitch it".
I'm in my Halloween groove again and have chosen a piece of the Abandoned Paper Stash as my background. I just didn't know how to proceed. I first started stamping with Distress Oxide, because it contains pigment. But I thought it was too dark and I started applying Witte Gesso. This made it easier to add lighter colors.
When the gesso was dry I added color with Infusions Orange County and Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powder Burnt Orange. And made it a bit darker again with Nuvo Shimmer Powder Storm Cloud. With Texture Paste that I colored with Infusions Orange County and Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powder Burnt Orange I applied the letters of the mini Schoolhouse stencil. Didn't know how well it would work, but I'm positively surprised that it worked so well. I think that the Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powder Burnt Orange didn't do much. I've sewed the edges with my sewing machine.
