Creepy Christmas Eve card

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Lets Get Ready For Christmas".

I'm not yet ready for Christmas at the moment, and I'm more in the Halloween mood, so I made a crossover of a Halloween and Christmas card. I started to make a circle from Masking Paper that is masking off the moon. Then I used Distress Ink Ripe Persimmon and Distress Oxide Spiced Marmalade and Antique Linen on the top half and Distress Ink Black Soot, Hickory Smoke and Distress Oxide Antique Linen on the bottom half and a little on the top.

Then I played around with the moon. I used another sheet of Masking Paper, and masked everything of instead of the moon. And used Distress Ink Hickory Smoke and Distress Oxide Antique Linen. And I'm really impressed how realistic it looks.

At that moment it looked more like a Halloween card than a Christmas card, and I wanted to make a mix, so I used the Tree Line die and made the tops a bit lighter with Distress Oxide Antique Linen and Spiced Marmalade. To add more highlights I used Crackle Texture Paste and the Oxide bleeded through, but I liked it. And I also used the big deer from the Winter Wonderland die set and colored it dark with Distress Ink Tea Dye, Ground Espresso and Black Soot, and of course I made the eyes white with the White Gelly Roll pen.

What a great idea with a crossover card!! And it is so cool!! I am also not ready for Christmas. After our weird summer, I am almost not even ready for autumn yet, even though it is here. I did take our my autumn and Halloween decorations yesterday, so now that autumn feeling might kick in soon.

I hope your weekend has been fun! Hugs!
