Hi everyone,
It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Resist it".
A week ago it was Creativation 2018 and I saw very nice new products (which of course I want all of them) and saw lots of demos how you can use them, and the Distress Resist Spray made me think. I have a similar kind of milky spray, the Heidi Swapp Reactive Mist. This has a completely different purpose, but a perfect moment to experiment with it and to find out whether it gives the same effect.
It soon became clear that this spray is also super sticky (I hadn't played with this mist before). And that this one also dries fairly quickly. Only it has been developed to become sticky when it gets hot. Unlike the Distress Resist Spray, this spray blisters with heat, but that actually gives a very cool effect.
I applied the Reactive Mist with the Dot Fade stencil and covered it with Zing Gold Embossing Powder. Then I used 3 different colors Distress Oxides, Worn Lipstick, Fossilized Amber and Frayed Burlap. Thanks to the Embossing Powder, it was quite a challenge to apply color. Have even used my fingers to move the Distress Oxides around and apply more color.
The Scroll die (thanks Marzena!) das undergone a complete metamorphosis. First with Nuvo Mousses, then texture applied with Plastic Canvas stencil, followed by Distress Ink Ground Espresso and Distress Paint Black Soot followed by a baby wipe to take off the black paint for most part again. Finally, Metallique Wax Bronze Age.
