It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Red/White and/or Blue". This week we're showcasing Darkroom Door products! If you have any that would be great, but it's not a necessity!
I don't often use a pattern paper sheet as the starting point of my project. But the Captured Adventure paper pack of 49 and Market is so neutral that you can go in any direction you want with it. I always make rectangular cards and while I was cutting the 6x6 sheet to size, I realized that I could also use the scraps. So I cut them into strips.
Next I started using the Flourish / Swirls stamp from Darkroom Door. Such a fabulous background stamp. I also used the Captured Adventure stamp set of 49 and Market. These stamps are quite sticky, so for me for these kind of sticky stamps Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink works best.
For the red and blue I used Distress Ink. I used Faded Jeans for the blue and Fired Brick for the red. And I used the Stitches stencil for some extra interest.
The Quote Chips are too thick for me, but a simple solution is to split the bulk off, like peel the layers until it's thin enough. The edges of the chipboard pieces are still sort of rounded and it still looks like it's very thick. Love this simple hack. So if you're like me, maybe this trick could be helpful for you too :).

This is so soft and delicate, I love it. The papers seem to be very thick, right? I love the patterns they have in this collection and the stamps are cool, too. And your drops..... <3 Hugs, Marzena.
Gorgeous card Sandra :-) the background is fabulous, I love how you layered the papers and stamping, and the vintage children are lovely, very very cute :-)

I'm admiring the lighter side with this one. Great arrangement and the quote chip tip is a good one.
Stunning project, Sandra! I love the subtle color blended background to incorporate the RW&B!

I LOVE how you can rock both bold and subtle color palettes! The soft vintage look of this one is so pretty and the background especially is lovely. It reminded me of vintage wallpaper that I love!
