Alcohol Ink Bloom card
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Beautiful Blooms".

I wanted to try to make a mixed media card with Yupo and Alcohol Inks. I started to apply Texture Paste to with Lattice stencil on Yupo. After it was dry I applied a few drops of Blending Solutions and a few different colors of Alcohol Inks, such as Raspberry, Sunset Orange, Sunshine Yellow, Mineral and Pearls. Wow, those colors are bright, especially Raspberry.

Dylusions Spray seemed unsuitable for Yupo, so I used Distress Paint Black Soot mixed with a little bit of water to make spletters. I also used it to make the edges black. From the Simon Says Stamp Blossoms and Butterflies release I used the Tabbed Sentiments 2 stamp set in combination with VeraMark Ink and Black Embossing Powder. Yupo can't handle heat well, and it was a challenge not to melt the paper, here and there it got a little too hot ... whoops! But that gives it something extra!

To join in all you need to do is make a project that fits this weeks challenge and you can be the winner of the $50 gift voucher that our amazing sponsor Simon Says Stamp offers. This prize will go to a random entry. So go over to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog, let the DT members inspire you and join in the fun!
You have until Monday 8am Ohio time. 1pm UK time, 2 pm CET to join in.
