Coffee Lover card with video tutorial

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Food/Drink".

I made this card for a friend of mine who is coffee lover. I started with the Bubble stencil and Grit-Paste. After the Grit-Paste was dry, I started blending colors with Distress Oxide and applied different shades of green. Next I used Infusions, also in green ones. This time I didnt' apply a resist layer so that the Infusions could soak into the paper.

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Transport it".

How cool would it be if I had a hot air balloon as a means of transport. I've never had the pleasure to been in one before, but would definitely want to experience it once. For now I've got to do it with the stamp from the Remnants set. As far as I'm concerned, it's a classic. But first I started with the background of the card. With various colors of Distress Oxides I started building up the background. After all the layers were dry, I started applying interest with diferent stamps and Distress Oxides and SSS Intense Black Ink.

Timeless Treasure art journal spread with video tutorial

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Anything but a card".

This time no card but an art journal spread. I don't use my art journal enough, and this challenge was a good time to do a page again. I started to cut up the Botanical Collage Paper and cut it into loose pieces and collage them together again on the page. I did this with Collage Multi Medium I mixed with water.

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "All Things Bright and Beautiful". We're also showcasing Paper Artsy products this week, if you have some we would like to see them used in your project.

For my card I used my favorite Paper Artsy product, Infusions! I use it almost every week for my projects. This time I've chosen the most bright colors, A Bit Jaded, Lemoncello and Are You Cerise. But first I embossed the background with the Alpha Embossing Folder. With Nuvo Mousse I applied the first layer of color. Then a second layer with Distress Oxide and the last layer Infusions.

This card is inspired by the stamp Deco Diamonds of the new release of Simon Says Stamp: Sending Sunshine. It immediately reminded me of Diamonds by Rihanna. First I used the Deco Diamonds stamp on Distress Heavystock and applied after using VersaMark some White Embossing Powder.

Stencil it card with video tutorial

Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Stencil it".

Stencils are one of my favorite tools, so I used 3 of my favorite stencils for this card. I started with the Schoolhouse stencil and Distress Paint Black Soot. Then my second favorite stencil is Tiles. I used this one with Texture Paste. When it was dry I applied a layer of Opal Magic Rose-Gold with a silicone brush. Love the way that looks and make the black turn into gold.

 

With Infusions (Sunset Beach, Lemoncello and Are You Cerise) I added some color. The effect that Infusions gives with Opal Magic Paint is really cool. But I wanted to add some more contrast so I used Black Knight Infusions for that. That also immediately gives it a more dramatic look. The black letters of the Schoolhouse stencil had disappeared a bit in the background and therefore it was a fun idea to use the smaller size of Schoolhouse stencil with also Distress Paint Black Soot and also in the same spot.
